ALPINE AUDIOLOGY

HEARING AID INSURANCE
WHAT TO DO IF YOU LOSE OR SIGNIFICANTLY DAMAGE YOUR HEARING AIDS?
Hearing aids are usually covered by default under most home contents insurance policies, but you may need to tell your insurer that you have bought them and update your policy. Alpine Audiology strongly recommends getting in touch with your insurance company to clarify whether your hearing aids are covered, or to have them listed under your policy.
1. Contact Alpine Audiology on 0273877768 or info@alpineaudiology.co.nz
We can support you throughout the process and assist with any information your insurer may require.
2. Contact your insurance provider to start the claim process
Once you’ve contacted your insurer, they will guide you through the claims process.
In many cases, you may be offered the option to use a ‘preferred supplier’. You are not obligated to do this—you can request a cash settlement (payout) and choose your own audiologist for your replacement hearing aids.
We recommend confirming your options with your insurer and reviewing your policy wording carefully, so you can make an informed decision about your care.
3. We will work with your insurance provider to process your claim, then order your replacement hearing aids.
Once your claim is approved, we will work with your insurer to arrange your replacement hearing aids.
When your devices arrive, we’ll contact you to schedule a fitting appointment and ensure everything is set up correctly, so you can return to hearing comfortably as soon as possible.
